Perfectly Easy White Bread
A traditional American white bread
Makes one 1 1/2-lb. loaf

Ingredients
1 cup Water
1 tsp. Salt
2 Tbsp. Sugar
2 Tbsp. Vegetable Oil
3 cups Bread Flour
1 1/2 tsp. SAF® Perfect Rise Gourmet Yeast

Place room temperature ingredients in bread pan in the order listed. Select Basic/White cycle, Medium crust. Check dough consistency after 5 minutes of kneading, making adjustments if necessary. When cycle is complete, remove from pan; cool on rack.
Bakers Note: All-purpose flour can be substituted for bread flour. If substituting the all-purpose flour results in a shorter denser loaf, use vital wheat gluten to improve the elasticity of the dough. The directions for how much vital wheat gluten to use are on the package. |
