"Perfectly Easy White Bread"

A traditional American white bread.
Makes one 2-lb. loaf
(Machine method)


1 1/3 cups Water 
1 tsp. Salt 
3 Tbsp. Sugar 

3 Tbsp. Vegetable Oil 
4 cups Bread Flour
2 tsp. SAF® Gourmet Perfect Rise Yeast

Instructions:

Place room temperature ingredients in bread pan in the order listed. Select Basic/White cycle, Medium crust. Check dough consistency after 5 minutes of kneading, making adjustments if necessary. When cycle is complete, remove from pan; cool on rack.

Baker’s Note: All-purpose flour can be substituted for bread flour. If substituting the all-purpose flour results in a shorter denser loaf, use vital wheat gluten to improve the elasticity of the dough. The directions for how much vital wheat gluten to use are on the package.
